Collection: DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INCORPORATED - QUEENS ALUMNAE CHAPTER FUNDRAISER

The Queens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on June 4, 1951. The chapter's current name is actually its third. Originally established as Delta Theta Sigma Chapter, it later became the Long Island Alumnae Chapter. In 1964, following the chartering of the Nassau Alumnae Chapter, the name was officially changed to Queens Alumnae Chapter.

Notably, Founder Ethel L. Cuff Black, one of the 22 women who founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was among the chapter’s charter members and remained active until her retirement. Additionally, we are the proud home of Dr. Marie-Carmel Durandisse-Pressley, Eastern Regional Director.

Today, the chapter boasts over 250 members. Queens Alumnae proudly welcomes opportunities to partner with organizations and community leaders who share its mission. The chapter remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering programs and services that uplift and improve the quality of life for others.
